On both sides of the Belgian-French border, two master of engineering schools: Ecole des Mines de Douai and Hogeschool West-Vlaanderen, Departement PIH in Kortrijk (Technical University) have interesting and complementary education and training possibilities on cogeneration. Douai is specialised in the thermodynamic aspects and has laboratories equipped with a 15 bar boiler, a backpressure turbine, absorption cooling, …
Kortrijk is well known for his experience in electricity aspects and has laboratories equipped with a gas-engine cogeneration, electrical generators, and power quality equipment. This with the support of the renowned Labo Lemcko.
This base course is much more than a classic course on cogeneration. There will be a combination of lectures and practical sessions: labs and computer sessions. For this reason the course is limited to 16 participants.
We organise this course on a regular basis: the next double course, will be held from 4 to 8 September 2006 in French and English.
